The Claremont Growers Mart project involved secondary structures and an internal fit out of a supermarket and adjacent shop tenancies within the Claremont Quarter development. In addition to finishes, the work included mezzanine floor offices, slab strengthening and coring of services and lift installation. The market is now open and operates as Farmer Jacks, Bakers Delight, Showcase Meat & Poultry, Deli Devine, WA Cleanskin Cellers, Baby Cakes and Yomato Sushi.

The Joondalup Gate retail shopping precinct is a stretch of over forty well known stores situated along a one kilometer strip of Joondalup Drive. Merit has been involved in the design and built nine stages of the development and continues a strong partnership with the property development group. The 20,000 square metres of showrooms were achieved using the fast and efficient in situ tilt up concrete panel and structural steel method of construction.

As part of the ongoing commercial development of Jandakot Airport, in 2013 Jandakot Airport Holdings employed Merit Projects to build 5,500 square meters of additional retail space next to existing shop tenancies. The concrete tilt-up and structural steel building was designed by Meyer Shircore & Associates to accommodate eight separate tenancies ranging from 100 to 1,500 square meters. Extensive road works and landscaping to 12,000 square meters of the site was also undertaken to allow access and car parking facilities for customers. At the time of writing the popular shopping precinct accommodates a health clinic, pharmacy, child care facility, fitness centre, liquor store and fast food restaurant; complimenting other shops in the existing development.

Situated in Southern River this shopping centre comprises ten showrooms and a child care centre with parking and landscaping on a 4,000 square metre site. Built as a second stage to the neighbouring development, the Hodge & Collard design was constructed from tilt panels and structural steel and achieved impressive ratios of commercial areas to total project cost.

The first stage of the Armadale Shopping Center development consisted of redeveloping existing street front shops and creating a 6,000 square metre complex of twenty commercial tenancies and four cinemas with undercover parking. The construction utilised tilt panels with insitu slabs and a steel roof structure. Merit also completed the fit out for the project which involved seating and screens to the cinemas and an intricate timber clad entry foyer.

The refurbishment of Action Food Barn supermarkets at Whitfords, East Fremantle and Bassendean, including mechanical refrigeration and air conditioning services was completed by Merit between 1996 and 1998. The work was completed out of hours and in a compacted programme to allow continued operation of the supermarkets and to meet the client's time constraints. The supermarkets have since been purchased by IGA, Foodworks and Woolworths and continue to operate successfully.
